Truck tickets have been distributed through the borough for the 2012 raffle.

A letter has been mailed out to borough residents with information on what has happened and is happening in Ferndale Borough with regards to the Fire Department and Ferndale Borough's responsibility to fire protection.

February 28th, 2012

Information for this year's Annual Jubilee, the 2nd Annual 5K race and the 91st Annual Cambria County Convention has been posted on the Events page. July is going to be a busy month, but we are looking forward to it!

 

February 5th, 2012:

On January 1st, 2012 at 12:01 AM, the Ferndale Volunteer Fire Company merged with the West Hills Regional Fire Department. As part of the merger, it was agreed that the Ferndale fire station would remain open to continue to serve the residents of Ferndale Borough and the surrounding area. All apparatus and members that were previously a part of the Ferndale Volunteer Fire Company remain in place in the Borough of Ferndale.

The fire station in Ferndale Borough is now identified as Station 28-Company 3.

To support this new endevor, a new orginazition named the Ferndale Volunteer Fire Association was created. The purpose of the Association is to provide financial support to the Emergency Fire and Rescue Services providing these services to Ferndale Borough. This helps offset the cost to the Borough of Ferndale which in turn deters the need to raise taxes.

There will be almost no changes visible to the public. Emergency services will still originate from within the Borough, we will still be active in the community supporting local organizations, schools and sports teams and the annual jubilee will still be held each year in July.

This website is now the home of the Ferndale Volunteer Fire Association.
This Association web page will also post information specific to the Ferndale fire station... Station 28 - Company 3.

July 27th:

A big thank you goes out to all of our residents, patrons and friends for supporting the jubilee this year. Many thanks also to all of our volunteers for helping during the jubilee as well as setup and tear down!

Congratulations to this year's prize winners and to those who took part in the  1st Annual Ferndale Firemen's 5k race.

Your support allows us to continue to serve our community.

We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
